Loosening Roots

Almost all short-term mission trips for summer 2020 have been cancelled.  Most Christian camps have been cancelled.  Mission conferences and training events have been cancelled.  But, Jesus's great commission to go and make disciples has not been cancelled.

This summer we are inviting you to join a virtual tour of the American Peoples affinity and visit 8 different locations. Each week we will highlight a component of the missionary task and a missionary team in the Americas.  You will explore major cities and major jungles!  

Each week's tour will last one hour and include lots of time to connect in small groups with other students for discussion and prayer.  Each week will also include a challenge for personal application.

In his book, Coronavirus and Christ, John Piper states "In the coronavirus God is loosening the roots of settled Christians, all over the world, to make them free for something new and radical and to send them with the gospel of Christ to the unreached peoples of the world."

Oh, how we pray that this is true!

As our roots are being loosened, let us prepare for whatever the Lord might call us to next.  This is an opportunity to prepare for the future and to invest now in the American People's Affinity through prayer. It's an opportunity to connect, grow and learn with other Christ-followers.
