Full-time position
The Irvine Baptist Church is looking for a full-time education pastor who can provide overall direction of IBC Education Department (consist of Elementary to High School ministries, including EM college ministry) that support the overall vision, mission and purpose of the IBC and to provide leadership and spiritual shepherding within High School ministry (grades 9 through 12).
Qualifications:
*Spiritual
• Meets the requirements of a biblical leader (I Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9),
• Has a shepherd's heart and a desire to lead consistent with 1Peter 5:1-5;
• Teachable spirit with demonstrated accountability to others relative to spiritual and personal life
*Leadership
• 3-5 years of preaching/teaching experience
• 7+ years of relevant leadership experience with staff, volunteers and executing ministry strategies
• Must supervise and mentor education dept.’s pastors
• Must be highly relational, creative, organized, and administrative
• Knowledge and experience in problem solving and conflict resolution
• Ability to operate in a team environment, often working cross-functionally with other teams
• Must exhibit an earnest desire to see lost people come to a relationship with Jesus, continually developing the ability to display this love in action
*Education
• Education Required: Master of Divinity
• Education preferred: SBC seminary training, or equivalent combination of education and experience (typically 3+ years)
